Today was our last day. Unlike most days in this J-term, I spent little to no time on a computer. Our group's focus was on finishing this assignment completely. I started earlier than usual as I knew I had a lot of work to do today. My first step was to gather my wood and this was the easiest because I had already decided on what wood I wanted days prior. Next, I had to make two incisions, one at the top of my wood for my plexiglass and one at the very bottom for my backing board, only after this step was complete could I start on the next step cutting my edges. To do this I set the table saw at a 45-degree angle, lined it up, and cut. After I pieced my boards together I started to glue them with wood glue which took around 3 hours. I did not get to finish on time however I did end up finishing this the next week.
The hardest part of today was cutting my edges perfectly to size, I had a lot of trouble lining up the wood marker that I wanted to cut. It threw me off because I was supposed to align it to the edge of the saw blade, not the beginning of where the saw lifts up above the table. Today I was really proud of trying again after my setback. It was very discouraging however I still pushed through and although we weren't able to finish I still tried my best.
