Today is day two and I was very excited going in. It was our first day using Adobe Illustrator and I was extremely excited because I prefer to use technology. Today was all about Adobe Illustrator, the first I took my sketches and tried to recreate them as best as I could. Next, I focused on honing in on specific details within the design such as the fence and bushes. This process went rather fast which I was proud, however most of the credit goes to a class I took prior to this J-term; Design Tech.
One bump in the road I experienced was trying to make the image as realistic as possible without jeopardizing the paper's structural integrity (when I tried to add more detail it would take away more space leaving slim margins for the paper to stabilize). This was a difficult task however once I consulted Mr. Grisbee it was much clearer and I focused more on getting the silhouette down first.
For tomorrow my focus is going to primarily be on finishing up more layers on my shadow box, however another point of focus is picking which colors I am going to be using in my upcoming project (diorama). The reason I must choose the color of my paper is because we are going on an outing later in the week to Texas Art Supply to gather our materials. Hopefully I can continue on this path and finish my work on time!
