Today, I spent most of my day testing out different designs and trying to make them as perfect as possible. Unlike yesterday, I wanted to change them in person instead of on a computer. To start this process of trial and error I began by setting up the laser cutter with the proper settings. Once all the settings were right I cut out my shapes and looked for any errors that might have occurred.
Today was a very hard day, in my opinion. I spent a lot of time fixing mistakes that I didn't know were there. But despite that, there was a lot of good that came from today. I am happy to say I officially completed my design for my Fahrenheit 451 design and all I have left to do is layer them. Another positive is I learned how to add foam core properly in my shadow box. On the contrary, the hardest part about today was having to re-do big parts of my design because of a little mistake, it was very time-consuming and demoralizing.
Today I am proudest of fixing all my mistakes, although it took a while it was very rewarding to finally be finished with this part of the design process. Now that I have finished with that design my next goal is to finish the test cuts for my diorama. This is an achievable goal which I have learned is best when setting goals. I think by finishing my diorama pre-cuts by tomorrow I will be on the ideal track.
