Today is our second-to-last day! I am excited about Friday, but I still have a lot of work to do. Today I spent a ton of time cutting out foamcore and attaching it to my design. After many trials, I was satisfied with my test and considered moving on to my final design. I decided to attempt to finish my design and after I repeated the same steps I showed it to Mr Grisbee and he said I should re-do it. After talking with him I saw the errors of my ways and quickly refocused on my second attempt. I did not get to finish however I accomplished both of my trial cuts which I was extremely proud of.
One thing I accomplished today that I was proud of today was accepting the rejection and moving on, I was discouraged however I kept pushing for the result, and although we ran out of time I have set myself up perfectly for finishing on time tomorrow. One of the hardest things I had to do today was cutting out my foam core, the biggest reason I had to redo this portion of the assignment was that my edges were uneven, one side was longer than the other and it simply would not fit into the frame I was going to make. This was so challenging for me because halfway through we changed materials and the material change was much more sturdy and rough, meaning I had to exert more force. With this extra force added on the level of precision went significantly down, making this the most difficult part of today.
As we approach our last day my only goal is to complete my assignment on time and give it my full effort and attention.
